Hive Partner Programme
Founding Hive Partner Program
The Founding Hive Partner Program is a limited first round offering from Morning Penni Farm, created to help grow the honey side of the farm in a practical, community supported way.
Rather than relying on traditional finance to expand our beekeeping setup, we’re inviting a small number of customers to directly fund the equipment needed to establish new hives on the farm. In return, Hive Partners receive a steady supply of Morning Penni Farm honey across the year.
This first round is limited to 11 Founding Hive Partner places.
Each Hive Partner contributes the initial setup cost of one new hive. This includes the core equipment required to get the hive established and ready for production.
The setup includes:
- Bottom board
- 10-frame full deep brood box
- 10 full deep plastic brood frames
- Queen excluder
- 3 ideal super boxes
- 30 ideal plastic comb frames
- In-hive feeder
- Lid
In return for helping fund this hive setup, each Founding Hive Partner receives 2 x 450g jars of Morning Penni Farm honey every month for 12 months.
Over the full year, this equals:
- 24 jars of honey
- 10.8kg of honey in total
- A steady monthly supply of farm produced honey
- Seasonal updates from the hive program
- A direct connection to the growth of the farm’s honey enterprise
At our retail honey price of $40/kg, the honey included in the program has a retail value of $432.
While the honey return is generous, the purpose of the program is bigger than the honey itself. This is a way for customers to support the growth of a local regenerative farm, help us establish more hives, and take part in the next stage of Morning Penni Farm.
Bees are an important part of the broader farm system. They support pollination, biodiversity, seasonal production and the long term resilience of the farm. By growing our hive numbers carefully, we can increase honey production while also strengthening the role bees play across the wider farm landscape.
The honey supplied through this program will come from Morning Penni Farm’s seasonal honey harvest. Honey is a natural, seasonal product, so flavour, colour and texture may vary throughout the year depending on the nectar sources available to the bees. This is part of what makes raw seasonal honey so special.
Honey will be supplied monthly, with each Hive Partner receiving 2 x 450g jars per month for 12 months.
This program is not a financial investment and does not provide ownership of the hive, bees or equipment. The hives remain part of Morning Penni Farm and will be managed by us. The Hive Partner contribution is used to fund the setup of hive equipment, and the partner receives honey in return.
The Founding Hive Partner Program is designed to be simple, transparent and practical:
You help fund a hive. We share the honey with you.
This first round is limited to 11 places only, based on the honey we have available to supply the full 12 month allocation. Once these places are filled, the Founding Hive Partner round will close.
By becoming a Founding Hive Partner, you’re helping us grow the honey side of Morning Penni Farm in a way that feels more connected, more community led and more grounded in the people who already support what we do.
It’s a way to enjoy a year of raw seasonal farm honey while helping us build the next stage of the farm.
Fund a hive. Receive a year of farm honey.
